Meet Matt Ritchey

Matt has worked on stage and in film in New York City, London, and Los Angeles as both director and actor.  He received his BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a certificate in Shakespeare from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

He wrote, directed and starred in his first film, “Friendly Face From Space,” when he was eight years old; roughly the same year he wrote, directed and starred in the play “Lagoon: A Detective’s Job” at Spring Glen Elementary School in Hamden, Connecticut. So, he’s kinda wanted to do this for a long time.

Notable stage credits include the Mohonk Mountain Stage tour of THE FROG PRINCE (playing the lead amphibian), the premiere of Mac Wellman's INFRARED in New York, PERICLES in London, and THE LION IN WINTER in Los Angeles.

About Me

I'm a Scorpio.  I have a passion for Shakespeare (the plays, not the actual dead guy...ew), coffee, and cinema.  I'm happiest on a set or in the South Pacific, whichever you can provide.  I read Dante's INFERNO annually and my favorite film is Raiders of the Lost Ark.  I love popcorn.
